
Job Description
The Field Engineer is to provide direct support to the operational personnel, customers, and vendors regarding E3 equipment. The primary responsibility of this role is to carry out support and development directives as they relate to E3 growth and sustainability. This position will work directly with E3 personnel and customers to provide operational support, internal and external training on E3 equipment, NPT event investigation and RCA with presentation of findings, and data analysis. This position will also assist in new product development by overseeing field trials, collecting data, and assisting in the authorship of manufacturing manuals and service manuals.
Role and Responsibilities
Engineering Sustainability
- Function as a technical resource in support of field service departments
- Ensure engineering standards are established and followed
- Act as a representative of the engineering department to customers, vendors, and E3 personnel
- Carry out engineering directives and ensure compliance
- Create projects to reduce field call-outs and increase service efficiency
- Build relationships with customers
- Collect and analyze data to determine RCA
- Seek continuous improvement within the company
Development Engineering (New Product Design)
- Carry out field trials of new products
- Oversee new product start up within various operating districts
- Perform new product training for E3 personnel and customers alike
- Provide data and insight for new product improvement
Quality Assurance
- Assess E3 personnel’s compliance to engineering standards
- Perform internal audits to gauge areas of improvement
Engineering Training Programs
- Engaged with the company training programs for both internal and external customer training programs.
Additional Job Requirements
- Travel 10-35% monthly depending on company requirements
- On-call for E3 corporate business needs
- Able to sit for extended periods when completing tasks
- May be required to operate a company vehicle (DOT physical)
- Able to lift heavy parts and assist in assembly of new or repair of exiting equipment.
Desired Education and Work Experience
- B.S. in Engineering or Other Technical Field with 5+ years of applied experience
- Experience directly related to the hydraulic fracturing industry.
- Experience working in the Permian Basin on hydraulic fracturing operations.

- Technical Problem-Solving and Mechanical/Electrical Aptitude is required of the candidate

- Experience with ISO based Quality System
- Experience with API/ASME codes
- Experience with automation and industrial control systems
- Strong computer and administration skills
- Strong organizational and communications skills · Familiarity with P&ID’s, build instructions and CAD principles (Solidworks skills preferred)
